What this camp is about:

Discover engineering is a summer day camp to inform young women about engineering and to encourage them to consider post secondary education and a career in this profession. Young women spend five days at Ryerson, undertaking hands-on projects in a wide variety of engineering subject areas. They meet women engineers and engineering students and learn about the challenges and excitement of both an engineering career and education.

What kind of hands-on projects:

• make slime in a chemistry lab
• use LEGO to learn about mechanical engineering
• build a pneumatic controller and learn about robots in industrial engineering
• learn about and actually make a hologram
• make and test a model aeroplane
• design and build an electronic circuit
• learn about and create a multimedia presentation
• and much more!
