Generate EDP Topics (for FLCs ONLY)

Instructions for generating ELE/COE/BME 700 topics with a uniform look via the online topic generator.

This interface allows EDP topics to be directly saved to the webserver without the additional step of having to copy them. Topics are saved by the system and can be re-used (in alternate years) without having to re-type all the information.

STEP 1: LOGIN to COBALT (ELCE FORUMS)

STEP 2: SELECT "EDP TOPICS"

  • If you are an FLC, you will see an "EDP Topics" button in the left sidebar. Click on it.
  • If you do not see the button and you are assigned as an FLC, please email me and request to be added to the FLC list.

STEP 3: SELECT "CREATE TOPIC"

  • Fill-in the form and either click Save, if it is not topic-submission week, or Submit, if you want your topic to be posted and viewable by students.

EDP TOPIC POSTING

  • Once all the topics have been submitted, a browsable index is generated and the topics will be publicly viewable at: www.ecb.ryerson.ca/capstone/topics.html
  • The browsable index is automatically refreshed every hour.
  • The deadline for adding topics is 1PM on the Friday before topic-selection week (usually Week 5).
