Dear EDP students,

Some of you have been voicing your concern about being asked by your particular FLC or FLA to sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). I would like to clarify and give you the formal Departmental stand on this:

You are not required to sign any NDA with your FLC/A, and an FLC/A cannot force you to sign one. We as a department do not ask that of our students in EDP.

Your Capstone/EDP project is a required component of your education here and access to past EDPs, discussion with your partners, colleagues and others (even outside the university) is not supposed to be controlled or hindered.

However, having said that, if you still want, or choose, to sign an NDA with your FLC or FLA, then that is entirely your decision and responsibility.
