Power / Controls
With the design focus on the electricity transmission and distribution, this topic allows the students to propose their engineering design interest and apply their innovative approach to design. This topic can cover, but not limited to, smart grids (power transmission, distribution, control, protection, etc.), distributed generations (energy storage, power flow, control, protection, etc.), economic dispatch, etc.
The objective of this project is to carry out students’ defined design in the area of electricity transmission and distribution, upon FLC approval. The design is to be validated with computer simulations.
Students can define their design specifications but subjected to FLC approval.
Each student is to carry out individual design work and simulation validation work of equal weight.
Students can define their design approaches but subjected to FLC approval.
Students can define their group design responsibilities but subjected to FLC approval. In addition to individual design and simulation work, all students are jointly to carry out group work to accomplish the project design objective.
Student A can define individual design responsibilities but subjected to FLC approval.
Student B can define individual design responsibilities but subjected to FLC approval.
Student C can define individual design responsibilities but subjected to FLC approval.
