Preamble

This project will design and implement a software program where a drone would analyze the different colors found in its surrounding, and hover towards a predetermined color.

Objective

(1)Develop an autonomous drone platform capable of transmitting real time video signals to a base station for processing. The result from the image analysis will be used as a feedback in the drone's positioning control. (2) Make the drone able to identify, track or hover above stationary and moving color objects.

Partial Specifications

(1)An onboard camera is used to capture and transmit images of the drone's video signal while in flight to a base station.
(2) Visual analysis and extraction of information should be effectively and automatically.

Suggested Approach

(1) Software development in Python and Java .
(2) Your design could be based on existing color detection algorithms and make some improvement.

Group Responsibilities

Design, implement, and test the color object detection and tracking as specified above.

Student A Responsibilities

Design and implement a stationary color object detection and tracking algorithm with python.

Student B Responsibilities

Design and implement a stationary color object detection and tracking algorithm with Java.

Student C Responsibilities

Design and implement a moving color object detection and tracking algorithm with python.
