Preamble

Within the design area for the intelligent system for electricity power delivery, conversion and utilization, this project permits the students to propose their engineering design interest and apply their innovative approach to design. The topic of this project covers, but not limited to, smart power delivery, efficient power conversion, diversified and economical energy utilization, etc.

Objective

The objective of this project is to carry out students’ defined design in the area of electricity power delivery, conversion, and utilization, subjected to FLC approval. The design approach is to be innovative desirably, and the design needs to be practical, and the design findings need to be validated likely using computational methods.

Partial Specifications

The scope of the design covers, but not limited to, smart power delivery, state-of-the-art power conversion, diversified and economical energy utilization, etc. Students can define their design specifications, but not diverging from the design scope and subjected to FLC approval. The design needs to be practical and desirably innovative. All design findings need to be validated, likely using computational methods.

Suggested Approach

Students can define their design approaches, but not diverging from the design scope and subjected to FLC approval. Students are jointly to carry out research in the area of their intended design, define the design approach, and identify the design specifications as detailed as possible, in ELE700. Each student is to carry out the detailed individual design as well as participate the group design, in ELE800.

Group Responsibilities

Students can define their group design responsibilities, but not diverging from the design scope and subjected to FLC approval. In addition to carry out individual design responsibility, each student is required to participate the group design work in order to accomplish the design objective as a group project. The success of this group project counts on the fulfillment of all individual members’ design responsibilities and the completion of all individual design work as well as the accomplishment of the group responsibility.

Student A Responsibilities

Student A can define individual design responsibility, but not diverging from the design scope and subjected to FLC approval. Student A may be responsible for the intelligent methods for the electricity power delivery.

Student B Responsibilities

Student B can define individual design responsibility, but not diverging from the design scope and subjected to FLC approval. Student B may be responsible for the practical aspects of the electricity power delivery.

Student C Responsibilities

Student C can define individual design responsibility, but not diverging from the design scope and subjected to FLC approval. Student C may be responsible for the smart methods for the electricity power conversion and utilization.

Student D Responsibilities

Student D can define individual design responsibility, but not diverging from the design scope and subjected to FLC approval. Student D may be responsible for the practical aspects of the electricity power conversion and utilization.
