Preamble

Nowadays, intelligent technology is making our lives easier. Life has altered dramatically with the arrival of mobile phones. Many advances in mobile phones have been developed recently. Many services, such as text and the internet, are available because of these developments. However, despite several technological improvements, we continue to depend on connected charging devices. Each smartphone will have its own battery charger with its different style. As a result, battery chargers must be always carried to maintain power backup. Consider a battery charger that recharges a phone in an intelligent and automated way. Therefore, this work investigates the use of an intelligent automation system, so that the user can use this application for wireless charging a cell phone automatically by their Phone App.

Objective

The need for batteries is rising as wireless communication becomes more prevalent. Therefore, this project is providing a creative design for a wireless Mobile charger. A wireless cellphone charger is a technology that uses high-frequency wireless energy transmission to charge a suitable cellphone within one meter of it without any physical touch. This work attempts to use an intelligent automation application, so that the user can use this application for wireless charging a cell phone automatically using the Phone App and provide any required alarm for the low battery levels.

Partial Specifications

• The program should be able to provide connection between Microcontroller and the wireless charger system
Create a customized iPhone/Android App for controlling the wireless battery charger.
• Enable the App to communicate with wireless battery charger units.
• This App should be able to monitor and initialize wireless battery charger units with password
• The App should be able to receive a message from the wireless battery charger units when the charge is full and switch off / on wireless battery charger unit.
• The App have ability for the history information unit on a time and date of charging actions.

Suggested Approach

• Use a wifi connection unit such as ESP8266 unit or similar devices, Arduino Uno microcontroller board based on the ATmega328P or similar Microcontroller. Electromagnetic switch Relay to control on wireless battery charger on/ off.
• Use appropriate open source for communication between Microcontroller and the cell Phone.

Group Responsibilities

1. Perform Literature review
2. Collect and design the technical information to implement the system under consideration,
3. Implement and test of the entire system with the above objectives,
4. Write a technical report and present the obtained results at the end of this project. Describing the main step of running the APP and the technical connection between the hardware units.

Student A Responsibilities

- Design and implement hardware requirements for wireless charger unit

Student B Responsibilities

- Design and implement Hardware connections between microcontroller and wireless battery charger unit.

Student C Responsibilities

- To design and implement the microcontroller Software programming and wireless connections between Microcontroller and routers

Student D Responsibilities

- To provide and design the total algorithms and flow chart and main working steps between the Microcontroller and cell Phone App

Course Co-requisites

Communication principles, electronic power circuits, programming in C

To ALL EDP Students

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, in the event University is not open for in-class/in-lab activities during the Winter term, your EDP topic specifications, requirements, implementations, and assessment methods will be adjusted by your FLCs at their discretion.
