News: Computer Engineering Program
In April 2000, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
received initial approval from the Office of Vice President, Academic
to proceed with the preparation of a stand alone Computer Engineering
Program to replace the current Computer Engineering Option. The
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering will administer
this new undergraduate program, which will be submitted for approval
to the Ryerson Academic Council (Senate) in the Fall 2000 term. Upon
approval of the proposal, the new Computer Engineering Program is
expected to start admitting students for September 2001.
Note: The curricular structures of the present Electrical Engineering
Program and the proposed Computer Engineering Program is expected
to be identical. The differentiation between the two programs will
start in the 2nd year.
