The first information session of Ryerson's Course Union for Biomedical Engineering (CUBE) was held on Feb 8, 2010. Interim Associate Dean for Research and Development and the former Chair of the Department, Dr. Sri Krishnan was the keynote speaker at this event.

CUBE will be planning many different events and offering various services in order to give the biomedical engineering student an unique, hands-on, interactive experience. Some examples of such events include engineering competitions specific to the Biomedical Engineering program, conferences and workshops with different professionals and employers in this field, and a mentorship program for students who require tutoring in biomedical engineering courses. CUBE will give students the chance to network and meet biomedical engineers from other years as well as different faculty members and graduate students in the department.
