New Chairs / Donor Wall

An email is sent at 4pm saying that the following morning,
the new lab-chairs will arrive. So everyone rushes about madly,
late into the night, stacking the chairs that need to be replaced
against the walls...

...and consolidating the few remaining good chairs to other labs.

A radiator on the 3rd floor corridor is leaking quite badly.
Fate conspires so it's never leaking when the plumber comes to
look at it.

The following day, the chairs arrive and Fortune smiles
because the labs don't begin until noon-- another disaster
averted! One of the labs is temporarily converted into a chair-
assembly plant.

Empty cartons fill the halls outside the assembly room,
alongside the old, battered chairs. New chairs are taken from
this room and delivered to each lab.

The beginning of Reading Week sees work on the Donor Wall in the Atrium.

Sheets of plywood are applied to the drywall
and mounting brackets are installed.

The adhesive takes a while to dry...

The electricians begin preparing the wiring harnesses for the
back-lights.
