Olivia Das
Associate Professor
Olivia Das received her B. Sc. (with Honours) in Mathematics in 1993 and M. Sc. in Applied Mathematics in 1995 from University of Calcutta, Calcutta, India. She further obtained a M.Sc. in Information and System Sciences in 1998 and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2004 from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada, in the area of dependability evaluation of software architectures.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Das's core research interests are in the area of dependability and performance evaluation of distributed systems; software performance engineering; mathematical modeling using fault-trees, Markov models, Petri nets and layered queueing theory.
