• Reza Razanin, "Collaborative Robots for Rescue Missions in Underground Mines" that won the second prize at the Humanitarian Initiatives Committee Student Paper Competition at the Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE) 2013.


• EDP project, 'Energy Harvesting Shoe Pad Design' won the President's prize at Ryerson Engineering Open House Design Competition


• EDP project ‘Wireless Manager for Plug-in Electric Vehicles’ won the Gold Prize at Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering Design Competition, Ryerson, 2012


• EDP projects ‘Aerial Search Unit’ and ‘Wireless Smart Meter’ selected as finalists for the Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) Discovery Student Design Competition, May 18-19, 2011

 

• EDP Project ‘Cognitive Radio Sensor System for 800-2500 MHz’ thesis project that won Ed Togwood Award for Excellence, 2010

 

• EDP PRoject 'Wireless Treadmill Control using Heart Rate Monitoring' won the Bronze Prize in the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society, 'MTT Alive 2010 International Design Competition' , 2010, beating many American Universities


• Thambu Kuga's student paper that won the Second Prize at Sarnoff Symposium 2009, Princeton University, New Jersey USA
