Integrated Circuits and Systems (ICS) Group, directed by Professor Fei Yuan, undertakes a number of exciting research projects on the development of novel CMOS integrated circuits and systems for high-speed data communications, mixed-mode signal processing, and passive wireless microsystems. The research of ICS Group has been financially supported by various funding agencies and organizations including Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada, Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), CMC Microsystems, Ryerson University, and industrial partners such as TSMC, Semtech, and Advanced Micro Devices.
Many ICS group alumni elected to pursue doctoral studies at leading universities such as University of California at Los Angeles, University of Toronto, McGill University, University of Waterloo, or home university (Ryerson University) after completing their MASc degrees while others went on to pursue successful engineering careers at tier-1 semiconductor incorporations such as TSMC, Rambus, Intel, Micron Technologies, AMD, and Synopsis.
