Solderless Breadboards
A quick and inexpensive method for building circuits. Components and
wires plug into the board to form a
circuit. Ideal for circuits running at less than 57mHz.

Tips
-
If you use components from a tape carrier, cut the leads such that
the glue from the tape is removed or cut off.
-
Do not try and force over size lead into the board. Solder #22 gauge wire
to large leads.
-
Keep heat dissipation to a minimum as it can melt some brands of bread
board.
-
Be aware that long leads can add to inductance and capacitance to your
circuit.
-
Be aware that not all bread boards are constructed the same. Check how
the contacts are formed. Make sure strips are formed using individual contacts
instead of a single strip contact. Single strip contacts don't adjust well
to leads of different diameters and may make intermittent connections.
-
Use only wire of the recommended gauge.
