: I have MASc and PhD positions open in my
research group. I am looking for highly motivated
and qualified students to start from September
2018. Background in Computer
Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, or Mathematics, with good academic
level experience in programming is expected.
Research will be conducted in the field of
Analytical and Simulation Models of Performance and
Dependability of Distributed Systems (e.g.
Cloud-based software systems, Component-based
software systems).
Olivia received her B. Sc. (with Honours) in
Mathematics and M. Sc. in Applied Mathematics from
University of Calcutta, India. She further obtained a
M.Sc. in Information and System Sciences, and then
went on to obtain her Ph.D. in the domain of software
systems engineering at Carleton University. The focus
of her doctoral research was dependability evaluation
of software architectures.
Olivia's Research Interests:
- dependability and performance evaluation of
distributed software systems
- software system performance engineering
- mathematical modeling, simulation modeling
