Dimitri Androutsos, Ph.DAssociate Professor
Professor Androutsos received his B.A.Sc, M.A.Sc and Ph.D degrees all from the University of Toronto in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering. He has been with Ryerson University since January 2004. He is a Professional Engineer of Ontario (P.Eng) and a senior member of the IEEE. Prof. Androutsos is the recipient of the: 2008 IEEE Toronto Section Service Appreciation Award 2008 Ryerson Electrical & Computer Engineering Graduate Students' Association (ELEC-GSA) Professor of the Year Award 2008 Ryerson IEEE Professor of the Year Award 2006 Ryerson IEEE Professor of the Year Award 2006 Ryerson Teaching Excellence Award 2004/2005 FEAS Teaching Excellence Award
His areas of specialization and interest are: image & video processing multimedia archiving & retrieval image & video compression image enhancement & filtering signal processing 3D digital cinema
