- 7D SURGICAL INC. HONOURED
- Envision 3D: Image Guidance System, co-invented by Victor Yang, was recognized as one of nine best new spine care technologies for 2015. Envision 3D is an all optical intraoperative 3D image-guided surgical navigation system which does NOT have X-ray radiation. The image-guided surgical technology incorporates the form factor and function of the operating room surgical light and shines a special pattern onto the exposed patient anatomy. While this pattern is not visible to the operating room staff it is detectable by Envision 3D device which then creates a highly accurate and detailed 3-dimensional surface. For the first time, surgeons can have real time 2D or 3D visualizations of the patient's anatomy overlaid with the spatial positioning of the surgical tools.

- RYERSON UNIVERSITY TEACHING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ACCREDITATION
- Gosha Zywno led the team that resulted in the accreditation of
the Ryerson University Teaching Development Program. The UTDP,
accredited by the Staff and Educational Development Association of
the United Kingdom (SEDA UK), is a voluntary certificate program
offered by the Learning and
Teaching Office (LTO) to provide new and mid-career faculty
with a solid foundation in university teaching. Ryerson is now one
of only four Canadian universities to earn SEDA accreditation,
signifying the distinction of the UTDP program on an international
scale.
